At Creative by Nature HOME, we select the finest preserved flowers from Europe, South America, Africa, and the United States. We work very closely with our vendors who travel the world looking for new and exciting products.

Most of our botanicals are preserved. Preserved flowers are harvested and put through a process in which most of the moisture in the plant is removed and replaced with glycerine. Glycerin is natural, eco friendly, and biodegradeable and leaves the flowers supple and natural looking, while preventing any further drying. In some cases natural dyes are used to enrich the colors.

Some elements such as grasses, wheats, and pods are dried using hot air. Often times this product is dyed to mimic nature.

In contrast to manufactured artificial materials, preserved and dried botanicals give a fresh and natural look that will last for years, while remaining environmentally friendly.

Care

With a little maintenance you can make sure your dried and perserved flowers retain their natural beauty for years to come. Make sure you display your arrangement away from direct sunlight and any areas with high humidity. Every few months you can use a hairdryer on a low, cool setting to blow the dust off of the arrangement. Also, a spray is available at Creative by Nature HOME that protects the arrangement and extends its life. With proper care, it is common for arrangements to last for 7 or 8 years.
